Report of the expert group meeting on the Cariforum-Eu Economic Partnership Agreement
CLAC undertook several studies directed at examining the implications of the EPA for the region as well as informing the process for the preparation of an implementation plan for CARIFORUM. ECLAC, in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat, UNIFEM,UNDP Subregional Office for Barbados and the OECS convened an expert group meeting on 12 February 2009 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The objectives of the meeting were to disseminate the findings of the four studies that were conducted; create a deeper understanding of the required actions for implementing the Agreement at the regional, subregional and national levels; and to promote dialogue on the development of selected benchmarks for monitoring and assessing the impact and effectiveness of the Agreement.
