Commentary on Economic proposals

The Finance Minister's proposals for the use of real estate in Barbados center principally around the tourism industry and job creation. We do not take issue with this approach. However we are most concerned with the apparent lack of attention being given to the costs related to the ownership of real estate and the impact it will have on long-term visitors and their vital contribution to the economy and on potential purchasers of properties.
