The EFA 2000 Assessment: Country Reports - Dominica

In November 1995, the government of Dominica approved the proposal to implement a comprehensive reform of the compulsory education sector - the Basic Education Reform Project (BERP). The Ministry of Education viewed this project as the first stage in reforming the entire education system. The goal of this reform was to improve the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of the education system, and to equalise access to educational opportunities for all school-age citizens.
