Caribbean Distance Learning Network Mission

Online distance education, often termed e-learning, can support and provide for learning opportunities not otherwise possibel due to a host of reasons including: geographical distance to education institutions; work schedules; institutional space constraints; and limited financial resources. The development of an e-learning network in the Caribbean region could allow for an increase in the number if individuals participating in tertiary level programs, increased teacher training, and increased access to programs with particular relevance to a developing economy.
