Address at the Emancipation Day 2005 Celebrations Hosted by The Emancipation Support Committee

Trinidad and Tobago, as indeed all the other territories mentioned, is linked by a range of ancestral, religious and cultural ties. These are the ties that bind, and we are very grateful for this opportunity to make re-acquaintance, to strengthen old bond to acquire greater appreciation and understanding. The more important step from here onwards will be to develop and sustain a greater level of interaction and exchange.
