Energy Independence: A Vision for Anguilla’s Future. We define energy independence as the ability for the island to meet its vital energy needs with reliable, affordable and renewable energy resources. This requires the pursuit of a balanced and advantageous transition toward control of our energy future, built upon a solid and ever growing foundation of our own free, abundant, clean, and renewable energy resources---the wind and the sun.
