Originally, Grenada was inhabited by the Carib Indians when Columbus sailed by in 1498. The removal of the Caribs was just the first of many political changes. The island is currently under much turmoil. Hurricane Ivan has recently left Grenada physically devastated. Politically, the country is still feeling the impacts of The Grenada Revolution of 1979 to 1983.'
