St. Vincent and the Grenadines - Introduction. Global Climate Week - time to seal the deal
21-25 September 2009 was dubbed Global Climate Week as groups, organisations and individuals from over 100 countries rallied and demonstrated to support the Seal the Deal! campaign, in the initiative led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Also, a series of high-level fora with global leaders was held to discuss issues surrounding climate change and the ongoing negotiations for a follow up to the Kyoto Protocol to be finalised at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP XV meeting in Copenhagen this December.
